abc - Philadelphia City Council voted unanimously Thursday to ban E-smoking devices in the city. The measure, which passed 15-0, prevents people from using E-cigarettes in public places. It also forbids the sale of the devices to minors. The ban will take effect in July.
And that’s literally all that’s written about this on 6 ABC right now because when you’re doing some shady shit it’s best not to talk about it in too much detail. Hmm, I wonder why a device that is mostly harmless and can help people quit smoking would get banned THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE CITY.
I’m sure it has nothing to do with Big Tobacco’s lobbyists. Or that the city doesn’t get tax dollars from e-cigs like it does real cigs. Surely the city’s politicians wouldn’t be that evil to ban something that helps you quit smoking just because of lobbyist kickbacks and tax revenue, right? I mean if you can’t trust your politicians who can you trust?
Better smoke all the E-cigs you can before July, Philly.

“Right now electronic cigarettes are totally unregulated. There’s no regulations on them at all, and there are serious concerns raised by health officials of what is in this vapor,” said Bill Greenlee, (D) Philadelphia Councilman.
That’s funny because we know exactly what’s in real cigarettes / are 100% sure they kill 5 million people a year and you didn’t ban those. Maybe I’m missing the logic.
