Pastor Leaves Waitress $0 Tip, Says He ‘Gives God 10%, Why Do You Get 18%?’

CONSUMERIST – The photo shows a receipt for $34.93 with an automatic gratuity of 18% ($6.29) included. But the diner has scratched out that tip, writing instead that “I Give God 10% Why do you Get 18″ and adding the word “pastor” above his signature. And instead of leaving a tip that was merely less than the 18%, just wrote a big “0.” In the comments on the post, the person who submitted the image explains that this was just a portion of the total bill for a table of 20, which means the 18% tip is automatically put on the bill. “Parties up to eight at my work may tip whatever they’d like,” explains the server, “but larger parties receive an automatic gratuity. It’s in the computer, it’s not something I do.” The auto-gratuity policy is apparently also listed on the menu. In total, the group ran up more than $200 worth of food before tax and tip, says the server. As for whether or not the zero-dollar tip reflect the quality of service, the waiter writes, “They had no problem with my service, and told me I was great. They just didn’t want to pay when the time came.”

Fucking greedy, entitled waitresses asking for 18% tip for a meal that the restaurant automatically enforced. Don’t they know that God only asks for 10% of everything you earn? Who do they think they are asking for more money than the Almighty? The poor man is just following what was written in scripture:

Regardless, the Pastor didn’t have to be an asshole about it. Man has to learn the nice way of religious dick tipping and offer something fake and in lieu of money, like Jesus’ eternal love or the promise your taint won’t be tickled by the Devil’s horns in the afterlife. If the Dalai Lama can get away with not tipping but still leave a smile on a face, so can you. Gunga Galunga.

PS – Religious nutshits actually leave stuff like this below sometimes instead of a tip and think it’s OK???? If I ever was working my balls to the bone in the service industry and got something like this, mark my words, nobody would leave the restaurant alive. NOBODY.

This brings up a question that I've been asking myself.... The acceptable tip amount from the beginning of time was 15%. It recently went to 18-20%. Waitresses are doing the same job. In fact, hourly wages and benefits have gotten better. Why the increase in the acceptable tip amount. It's horse hockey.

Some simple math: $200 bill / 20 people = $10 per person on average. This bible pumping fucking balloon knot chowed down for just shy of $35 on that bill. That's 17.5% of the total for a group of 20. Speaking of full retard, nice economics lesson lookatmytds. You forgot to take into account inflation has already been accounted for in the price of meals. You can't even get a meal at a shitty chain restaurant for under $12 anymore, where it used to be $7-$8. So a bill that used to be $30 is now $40. Applying the same 15% automatically results in larger tips, aka "adjusting for inflation". Nice try, though.
