TBL – Gisele was walking to an elevator when a few New York Giants fans began to needle her from afar. Her husband, Tom Brady, had just suffered another brutal Super Bowl loss to the Giants and she was on her way to comfort him. Cameras from the TV show The Insider captured what happened next: Gisele angrily ripped New England’s receivers: “You (have) to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball. My husband cannot fucking throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”
Old girl might have a point here. As The Big Lead pointed out, it’s pretty obvious that the Pats could have held on and won the thing if Welker wasn’t such a buttery-handed midget. Hmm, I wonder if New England fans are as quick to come at Wes Welker with the torchers and pitchforks as they would, say, someone who looks a bit different.
But the bigger question is: why aren’t people ripping Brady for this one? The safety, throwing it behind Deion Branch, the batted balls, underthrowing Hernandez, overthrowing Welker…seems to me this guy could get tossed just as far under the bus as anybody. But I guess if Patriots fans were to simply admit that Belichick/Brady aren’t good enough to beat Coughlin/Manning, they’d have to finally admit to themselves that the dynasty has ended.
