DM – A mother and father who repeatedly punched their daughter while screaming ‘vile’ racist insults because they said she had ‘brought shame’ on their family by dating a black man have been jailed. David and Frances Champion assaulted their then-17-year-old daughter Jane and her boyfriend Aflonce Ncube in two ‘disgraceful’ racist attacks. Miss Champion was repeatedly punched in the face, grabbed round the throat and had her hair pulled which left her with lumps and bruises. Her boyfriend, Mr Ncube was kicked in the legs while being subjected to a torrent of abuse over his skin colour. Mr Champion was jailed today for 12 months and his wife for nine months after two ‘vile’ racial attacks on the pair. The first attack happened after Miss Champion’s parents were outraged to find her in a ‘state of undress’ with Mr Ncube when they returned to their home in St Thomas, Swansea. Mr Champion, 50, shouted racist abuse at Mr Ncube before grabbing and kicking him in the back of the leg and pushing him out the front door. He then grabbed Jane by her hair and started hitting her for ‘bringing shame’ to the family. Judge Peter Heywood said: ‘We live in a liberal and enlightened society and these sorts of racist behaviour cannot be tolerated.
Gonna shoot this one straight from the hip. No puns about their last name. No jokes about how they’ll never see a dime of their future grandson’s FIFA money. None of that. Just the one question that sits atop this entire story: who the hell hates black British guys?
Look at some of the people in the black Brit category: Idris Elba, the guy from Children Of Men, …SEAL! Who in their right mind can hate Seal? Homeboy dropped Kiss From A Rose on the Batman Forever soundtrack. Do you have any idea how hard it was for him to pull emotion out of Batman Forever? He should win Grammys every year for that alone. And I didn’t even go on about how Stringer Bell almost became the first Black James Bond. What are these parents’ problems?
I can almost understand white Americans feeling some kind of way about black Americans with the whole anger over no longer owning us thing, the bad economy black President thing, and having to watch LeBron James dominate the entire NBA playoffs, but white Britons being against black Britons seems kinda silly. Nearly every black British person I’ve ever met or seen on TV has been awesome. I see nothing wrong with this guy except his collar and lack of watch. Oh my God he’s throwing up 3-pointer gang signs! Get a clue.
