Absolutely disgraceful behavior and language from what should be role models for today’s already misguided youth. And I’m in no way saying that just because it’s the Giants and I loathe them with every inch of my being. As a serious and credible journalist I like to stay as objective on these stories as possible. So it pains me to say that this is by far the worst hazing event I’ve ever seen, Tom Coughlin should be fired, and Jason Pierre-Paul should be suspended for the season for his language and insistence on humiliating a fellow teammate.
That’s not how the Eagles would’ve done it. The Birds probably would have hazed Prince Amukmara by having Vick give him a bunch of free apparel from his new clothing line or the D-line filling his car with deliciously scented fresh-cut floral arrangements. That’s how real teammates/brothers interact with new members of the family — with kindness, love, and t-shirts made of tough-yet-breathable material. Not with ice water and ‘nigga’. Shame on you, New York Giants. I hope Goodell comes down with an iron fist for these dangerous and misguided shenanigans.
PS – Second-year players get hazed now? Prince should have punched that horse-necked monster in his mouth.
