CBS – A female suspect stole a Philadelphia police cruiser and led officers on a wild pursuit through the streets of Philadelphia. The incident reportedly began when the woman stole a police car in Camden, New Jersey and came across the bridge into Philadelphia. The female driver was then pursued by Philadelphia police officers. At some point, the woman was stopped by officers, but she was somehow able to get inside a Philadelphia police cruiser and sped off. She led police on a wild chase through the streets of North Philadelphia. During the pursuit, the car struck a pedestrian and a Philadelphia police officer was injured. The extent of the injuries was not immediately known. The cruiser eventually stopped at 11th and Hope Streets and the suspect got out and attempted to run away on foot, but she was quickly taken into police custody.
This shit is WILD. Watch LIVE.
Grand Theft Auto V doesn’t come out until September, right? How a barefoot woman can steal two cop cars and cross a major bridge is frightening.
It’s weird though, there are definitely times in this chase where I feel she could have made a decent evasive maneuver and completely blew her chance. Why jump back in front of the chasing cop — why not get behind him and turn away? Yeah the helicopter is on you and there’s zero chance of escape since you’re a barefoot crazyperson and not Ryan Gosling in Drive, but still. Gotta take your shots.
