Time to pull the trigger KFC and make sure Fireman Ed is directly behind you. This may be the most selfish play in the history of the NFL. Santonio Holmes was in pain, no question, but to willingly throw the ball up in the air like he just got sniped from the rafters is absolutely, unequivocally the pussiest thing a PROFESSIONAL NFL PLAYER can do. You hold onto the ball no matter what for your team. If a RPG or a drunk ninja with a sword took off your arm carrying the ball your severed limb still better be gripping that pigskin. That’s the way it is. Absolutely selfish play right there that made a 17-0 blowout into a 24-0 embarrassment. Yeah, Kenny Britt did almost the same thing last year when his ACL went snap, crackle, pop and the same label can be put on him, too.
They’re saying it’s not an Achilles or an ACL but is an injury to the foot. I want more than anything for it to be something simple like a foot strain or a bruise. Not because I actually care for his well-being, I want it to be a lighter injury so it accentuates the pussiness that is Holmes even more. At least Jets fans you still have the best CB/WR/Babymaker in the NFL on your team. Maybe in a couple years once his 19 5-year-olds mature into even more professional breeders you’ll have the opportunity to have a squad filled with playmakers.
