LibertyBallers – In a lengthy and telling interview with CBS Sports’ Matt Moore, Iguodala opens up on a number of issues. The most poignant of which being his unhappiness. “I haven’t really enjoyed basketball a whole lot the last couple of years. Last year was a big year for us, but it was just draining for the criticism to be there every single day. … So in Doug Collins’ first year, I didn’t shoot threes because he was like, ‘I don’t want you shooting threes, I don’t want that shot.’ Last year, I said, ‘I’m shooting it.’ And what happened? Shot 38 percent from three, top-25 in the NBA from three and I’m supposed to be a non-shooter. You put so much work in, and then to be told, ‘Don’t do what you worked on all summer.‘

Funny, because now Iggy’s taking shots at Doug Collins for not letting him take shots in the game.

Andre Iguodala: you are many things. A fantastic perimeter defender, a tenacious runner of the fast break, a supreme physical specimen…I could go on. But one thing you’re not is a jump shooter. Never have been, never will be.

We all know you worked hard on your jumper and made improvements — but that doesn’t necessitate the coach green-lighting a bunch of bullshit rainbows when the game’s on the line. You made improvements, but you’re not a natural. You’re like the transvestite of jump shooting. Sure you cut off your sack and had a doctor filet your genitals to resemble those of a female…but you’re not a female. Close, but no vagina.
