The Good, The Bad And The Ugly From The Eagles Week 5 Win Over The Rams

 
A win is a win is a win. But, shit, other than the Colts game the Eagles haven’t looked too special. But, also shit, this team is also 2-yards and 5 points away from being 5-0. What I see I think is good, but I’m rocking a very confused boner right now. Let’s just hope this squad is the real thing.

 
 
The Good:
 
SPECIAL TEAMS – Said it before and I’ll say it again, this squad has been BY FAR the best part of this team. 4 TD’s so far this year with 3 blocked kicks and great boots from Parkey and Jones.
 

J-Mac – Another game, another TD. Dude has been Captain Consistency this season.

Is that it for the good? Vinny Curry needs to play more, Zach Ertz needs the ball more and Sproles needs to be on the field more (7.1 avg/carry). That’s all I got.
   
The Bad:
 
Dr. Mo – The momentum of is team has faltered game in and game out. They have yet to play a complete game, which I’m not too sure if that’s a great or an awful thing. Imagine what they can do if they did put it all together? But they haven’t. And being up 34-7 before almost falling victim to the biggest comeback in NFL regular season history is embarrassing. Not a good look vs. a 3rd string QB and his little sister’s of the poor.
 
Footlong Foles – 24/37 for 207, 2 TD’s and a pick. Not God-awful, but again, not great by any stretch of the imagination. The man just isn’t as accurate as he was last year, especially on the deep ball.
   
The Ugly:
 
Cornerback “Play” – GTFO MY TEAM CARY WILLIAMS AND BRADLEY FLETCHER!!! Despicable play by both of the Eagles starting corners. Gone are the lockdown combo days of Troy Vincent/Bobby Taylor and Lito Shephard/Sheldon Brown. Shit, I’d even take Asante Samuel playing bullfighter back there instead of these two bums. Get Nolan Carroll some more time someway, somehow (and no, Boykin isn’t going to be moved to the outside no matter how much we beg).

FUCKING SLIDE NICK - Seriously, WTF was this?

 
Shady – Um…what’s going on, man? Yes, the O-Line being in shambles has affected the run game. I get it. 24 carries for 81 yards with 4 catches would look a lot better if Shady was lining up behind the normal starting 5. But why did he take himself out of the game on the final drive? And what the shit happened here?
 

Pick it up. Not just Shady, everyone. The Cowboys are 4-1 and the Giants are coming into town looking real fine at 3-2. This performance vs the hapless Rams isn’t going to fly if we want to take down this division.
