Ruben Amaro Got Super Pissy Talking To Mikey Miss Yesterday About His Dogshit Squad
NJ.COM – In a contentious radio interview with Mike Missanelli Tuesday on 97.5 The Fanatic, Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. discussed the future of the franchise, what approach the front office may take to improve. Things got heated when Missanelli pressed Amaro on Chase Utley’s recent statistical decline. “He’s still a very productive player in the National League, Mike but you have to get your theories straight.” Amaro said. “If you’d like to go ahead and Bag on Chase Utley compared to the rest of the world out there, you can feel free to do that, I would disagree because he continues to be a productive player on our club.
Mikey Miss, like him or not, is the best interviewer in the Philly sports media market. Maybe in the country. There’s no kiss ass going on and he gets right down to the questions that need to be asked. He even has a personal relationship with Ruben Amaro as the GM was the only sports guy in town to contact Missenelli when he was going through his heart condition. Mikey even said he felt bad grilling Amaro but said “It had to be done.”
But onto the interview and how Ruben Amaro is a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit. Is Chase Utley still productive, Ruben? I guess. He was at one point in the season batting .345. But now he’s only batting .290. Is that productive compared to the rest of this bum team he assembled? Fuck yes. But nowhere enough to be the center piece of a playoff caliber team. Amaro’s defense of “older guys don’t decline” is even more baffling. Take a look at your own team, dickface. Everyone besides the obviously sauced up Marlon Byrd has been going down with the ship. Take away his daily dose of horse testosterone and he’s as bad as he was when we had him in 2001. There’s no use reshuffling the chairs on the deck of the Titanic anymore. Time to safe face, sell all and fire yourself.
In all honesty, I don’t trust him to be around for this “Firesale” the Phillies are about to have. If he is, best have Gillick or (shoot me in the fucking face) Ed Wade calling the shots. Between Rollins, Byrd, Howard, Lee, Hamels (I hope not) and Pappelbon – who is having himself a hell of a year – they should be able to get back something that can be decent in the majors by 2020. Fuck.
I can’t wait to see in 2 years Ken Giles become the best closer in the game…and then we trade him away because we’re still 15 years away from mediocrity. I hate this team.
