ATTENTION DEGENERATES: A Few Spots Just Opened Up To The Sold Out 3rd Annual Barstool Philly Golf Outing, Also Sponser A Damn Hole, Will Ya?
(This is a repost of the original registration because all the info needed is below. We basically sold out within an hour this year. Mind freaking bottling. But we ended up having a few more spots than we thought – 4 to be exact. That’s right. One foursome is available. If you want in, now’s the chance. First come first serve.)
First and foremost, please remember the charity this event is once again helping out: Brave Hearts For Strong Minds. It’s a GREAT organization run by local Stoolies that assists kids who have lost a parent in regards to being able to afford their further education. The children and families are Philly area and this is one of those things where you can actually see the difference you make instead of just writing a blank check to some big charity. Be sure to support this cause and charity whether you plan on golfing or not.
Now onto the degenerate day that is the 2016 Barstool Philly Golf Outing at Avalon Golf Club. We already contacted the first couple groups on the waiting list to no avail, so this is first come first serve. Here are the main details of the day:
Saturday, August 6th at the beautiful Avalon Golf Club on the South Jersey Shore – Rain Date set for Saturday, August 27th. If we get washed out twice then just shoot me.
Noon Tee Time, Scramble play/Best Ball with foursomes (obviously you can sign up alone, two’s or threes)
$145/person – includes food and unlimited drink (booze) throughout the round.
YOU WILL NOT BE REGISTERED UNTIL YOU FORK OVER THE $$$
Last year we had great sponsors for prizes that included $1,400 worth of gift certificates to golf stores for the winners, a trip Myrtle Beach to play in on some PGA Courses, straight cash homie, Barstool happy crap, as well as many other gift cards and tidbits from other local spots. We’re still hashing out all the specifics for the rewards/raffle prizes, but expect them to be on par or better than last year.
WE NEED INDIVIDUAL HOLE SPONSORS: We are selling off each hole for $125 a pop. For that you get your own flag/pin at each hole as well as prime advertising on the site, event brochure, Philly’s Twitter/IG and golf video. A buck 25 is basically giving it away on ad space alone on this damn website. Shit, you don’t even have to be advertising anything. The 18th Hole has already been sold to a kid who has designated it “Sean _____’s Glory Hole”. Whatever works. But if you’re interested in buying a hole email in. It’s for charity, dammit.
Now for the registration. Email BarstoolGolfOuting@gmail.com with your (and whoever your playing with) name and contact info (email and/or phone). At that point you will receive an email back with information regarding how to put in your deposit. YOU WILL NOT BE OFFICIALLY REGISTERED TO PLAY UNTIL THE MONEY IS IN HAND. I’d like to go on the honor system, too, but we’re fronting a dickload of money to the Avalon Golf Club and getting shafted by no-shows the day of would have me eating canned goods for life. We’ll deal with specific situations regarding refunds or if you can’t make it to the rain date on an individual basis. We don’t want anyone to get screwed, but yeah, if you sign up and pay expect to play.
Just a head’s up, we’re again capping the number of golfers at 100. Last year, with little advertising and short notice, we were booked within a few days. If you really want to play then get your shit together QUICK. Also, if you don’t want to play and just hang out, eat and booze, you’re more than welcome, too.
