How Early Is Too Early To Get Fired Up For The New Power Rangers Movie Coming Out In 2016?

Via – Lionsgate has set a July 22, 2016, release date for Power Rangers, a reboot of the ’90s-spawned action franchise. The Saban Brands pic, which is ditching the “Mighty Morphin” tag of yore, follows a group of ordinary high school kids who find themselves infused with extraterrestrial powers and must harness those powers as a team to save the world.

This is fantastic news. Right when you thought everything in the world was going to shit, here come the Power Rangers in to save the day. Just like old times. We might be barely under 2 years away from the scheduled release date, but it’s never too early to get fired up about Tommy and the gang making their triumphant return. Now we get to be on Power Ranger watch for next 700 days. I can’t wait to see who the cast for Kimberly. She better be an 11/10 because that little minx made it move back in the day before I even knew it could move. It’ll also be interesting to see what Lionsgate does with the Black and Yellow Rangers. It’s gonna take some serious balls to cast an Asian and a Black guy for those roles in 2014. But you can’t mess with greatness so I really hope they don’t crack under the overly politically correct pressure. Also, was anybody much of a Billy the Blue Ranger kind of guy growing up? I feel like maybe hipsters loved the dude but that’s about it. Regardless, clear everything you have scheduled for July 22, 2016 because it’s Morphin Time.
