FLYERS – The Philadelphia Flyers will induct Eric Lindros, John LeClair and Eric Desjardins into the Flyers Hall of Fame during the 2014-15 season, according to team president Paul Holmgren. Lindros and LeClair will be inducted on Thursday, November 20 prior to the team’s game against the Minnesota Wild, while Desjardins will join the group with a ceremony before the Thursday, February 19 game against the Buffalo Sabres.

2/3 of the Legion of Doom and one of the best blue-liners to ever lace them up for the Orange and Black getting the respect they deserve and 10 year old me couldn’t be any happier about it. Sure, they were never able to put the full thing together and win the Cup, but they gave Flyers fans everywhere a decade of dominance. And it’s been great to finally see Big E and the Flyers start to rekindle their relationship over the past couple years. Citizens Bank Park erupted when his name was announced at the Winter Classic alumni game and November 20 is sure to be an electric night. I would give up anything to see Lindros in his prime back out on the ice just one more time. He’s the one athlete that I will 100% go to my grave defending. It pains me when people actually bitch about how the Flyers gave up Forsberg for him. No doubt that Forsberg was a great player but Lindros was the show. He was an absolute animal coming out of the draft and I’d take ’95-’99 Lindros over anybody. You put him in any other division besides the Atlantic where he has to go up against Scott Stevens all the time and he goes down as one of the greatest to ever play. A legend.
