Daily Mail - NBC has become the center of a race storm after airing an ad featuring a monkey performing gymnastics, right after showing the performance of Gabby Douglas, the first African-American to win Olympic gold. The network has since apologized for the advert’s poor timing, explaining: ‘No offense was intended.’ The controversy ignited as sportscaster Bob Costas wrapped his analysis of her incredible routine during the all-around competition. Costas said: ‘There are some African American girls out there who tonight are saying to themselves: “Hey, I’d like to try that too.” More from London in a moment.’ The broadcast then went to a commercial break, showing an advertisement featuring a monkey wearing a gymnastics uniform and performing a rings gymnastics event. The unintentional, but poorly-timed ad was for Animal Practice, an upcoming NBC sitcom.
Everyone’s gonna call out NBC? Really? Seems common sense would dictate the racists are the ones who were reminded of a black girl by a monkey. Every idiot making a big stink about this primate dominating the rings after Gabby’s gold just brought a harmless coincidence to the attention of a million idiots like me. Juvenile morons who get a kick out of farts, big tits and stereotypical racist humor. Before, I was oblivious. Now, I get to bust my buddy Jamil’s chops and say, “Hey, you guys got quite the representation in gymnastics, you gotta be proud.” “Yeah Gabby’s the shit.” “Nah, I meant the monkey on the rings bro hahahaha!” You wanna call me and NBC inconsiderate assholes for it, that’s cool, I’m not gonna argue…but you guys are the ones who brought up this monkey business in the first place. Pot, meet kettle.
P.S. – I’ll give you one guess who “you guys” are:

Black people gotta be like, “Yeah…thanks for the help but no thanks.”
