Introducing Barstool Voicemail

So heres the deal, idiots. I wanna jump into the world of podcasting. Problem is, I’m obviously a rookie at it, so jumping into the world of podcasting about sports and pop culture and what not isn’t easy. There’s a million other guys out there doing the same thing. So in order to start my first one and differentiate from all the other clutter out there, I wanna make this one Barstool specific. So I set up this Google voice number and created a Barstool answering machine. Think of it as an audio version of commenting on the Stool. Dial (646) 80-STOOL (646-807-8665) and leave a voicemail just like on any other phone. Leave your name or nickname and a quick message for me or anybody else at Barstool. Call up and comment about sports, chicks, your favorite blog. Leave your thoughts on me or any of the other Barstool writers on the network. Ask questions, MFKs, Would You Rathers, whatever. Just keep it relatively short.

I figured Memorial Day weekend is a great time to start it. People are gonna be out partying, on the beach with chicks, at the bars, all sorts of Barstool Voicemail material will be popping up. Leave me a message and I’ll sift through the messages over the next couple weeks and pick out of the 5 or 10 best messages and respond to them in podcast form. Think of it like the old Barstool Radio but it just wont be live.

1. how the fuck didn't you mention black dude on this fucking blog, like me and the power hour are synonymous bro, people hated me or loved me 2. its a NYC number bro, so its not a local call for stoolies that arent in NYC, i mean if you are using a cell phone ,nationwide calling is included on like 99% of plans, like what if i want to call you from a pay phone or someone's land line, should have tried to see if you can a TFN number, much more fun that way

Why not start off with the occasional video blog to a reader email or something? I don't see the podcast idea working if it's not gonna be relatively frequent - shit'll be outdated.

I don't know what kind of machinery you're working with, but Windows 7 comes with a free "Movie Maker" program that should be plenty for you. I used it once to loop a home movie & make myself look like a marathon man.

First podcast: Just play the tape... Maybe throw in a couple comments, but listening to these social rejects dump on you and throw out some hard hitters like: Fietelberg, is he gay or not straight? in itself would make a great show. Just listening to these hardos do their thing should be straight fire comedy.
