Yesterday it was Michael Boley, today it’s Chris Canty & Ahmad Bradshaw – victims of the New York Giants $9 mil cap overage. Corey Webster is probably next in line. Seeing Bradshaw go is bittersweet. Dude was all heart and, when healthy, he was one of the best non-elite backs in the NFL. But everyone knows the shelf life of a running back is short. It’s crazy to think a 26 year-old is expired, but his 4 full seasons were chock full of injuries. With the emergence of David Wilson & the hopeful healthy return of Andre Brown, Bradshaw was more of a liability than his $2.75 mil cap hit was worth. There’s definitely teams that will be interested though. Wherever he ends up, I’ll still never forget how much I hated him for falling into the end zone & scoring the Super Bowl-winning TD last year. Probably the strangest play in Super Bowl history.
