NY Post - Charlie Sheen was rumored to be the winning bidder who paid $230,000 to purchase Lawrence Taylor’s Super Bowl XXV ring at auction earlier this week. Taylor and his agent Mark Leipseiter were apparently informed Wednesday night that the former star of “Two and a Half Men” was the bidder who paid the hefty sum for the piece of bling. However, this has not been confirmed. “The Dan Patrick Show” reached out to Sheen for confirmation, but the actor texted “no comment” in return. Taylor originally presented the ring to his son TJ as a gift, but the younger Taylor decided to put it up for sale, which didn’t bother his father. The ring was sold online through SPC auctions. Current New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora had offered to buy the ring back for Taylor as a gift if he picked up 500,000 Twitter followers, but that plan fell decidedly short.
Well if thats not an appropriate home for Lawrence Taylor’s Super Bowl ring, I don’t know what is. After spending over 20 years in piles of cocaine and inside strippers asses, LT’s ring has found a new home…in piles of cocaine and inside strippers asses. It reminds me of when Jonathon Turner takes in Shawn Hunter on Boy Meets World. Shawn was a wild child. Kind of a bad ass drifter. He would have never been happy moving in with the Matthew’s family. Too “white picket fence” for his liking. That would be like if Tim Tebow bought LT’s ring. But Jonathon Turner was the perfect fit. Leather jacket, motorcycle. Cool dude who was a straight shooter. Perfect home for Shawn Hunter to move into.
So I’m sure LT can rest easy knowing his ring is living the life of drugs and paid sex. Its the way he would want it. Don’t you just love a happy ending? From a consensual, of age adult, of course.
