USAT- A candidate for Congress is under fire for a campaign sign highlighting his hope of making “America White Again.” The sign, which appeared over Highway 411 near Benton, Tenn., was placed there by independent candidate, Rick Tyler, who is currently running for Tennessee’s 3rd congressional district seat, WRCB-TV reported. While the sign may seem racist, Tyler told the news station it wasn’t meant to be. He says the sign is a call to take America back to the “1960s, Ozzie and Harriet, Leave it to Beaver time, when there were no break-ins, no violent crime, no mass immigration.” And the highly offensive sign isn’t Tyler’s only foray into expressing his right to free speech. According to WRCB-TV, his campaign posted another sign that has a picture of the White House surrounded by Confederate flags and a quote from Martin Luther King Jr.’s I Have A Dream speech.

Here’s what we’re gonna call The Trump Effect. The Trump Effect is when non-Donal Trump politicians try and do the things Trump is doing and fail miserably at it. It’s politicians who make outlandish claims and put up campaign signs that read “Make America White Again” But here’s the part all of those politicians are missing, Trump is really fucking good at what he does. Like super fucking good. Maybe the best ever. Is he a lunatic? Absolutely but he’s the best talker you’ve ever seen in your life. He runs laps around reporters and other candidates running for president. It’s how he get to be the only Republican nominee left stranding. He put Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Chris Christie and Ted Cruz in body bags. He’s so good at talking and not allowing people to pin him down that he makes it look easy so every politician thinks they can do it. They can’t. These politicians from the middle of nowhere can’t do what Big Bad Trump does. For better or worse, Trump is one of a kind.

This was laugh out loud funny

Ohhhhhhh got it. Rick Tyler didn’t mean for the sign to be racist. He simply meant he wanted to go back to a time when the world was like Leave It To Beaver. You know, the whitest show of all time.
