WTOP - Police are searching for an armed escaped prisoner who opened fire in a Fairfax County hospital early Tuesday morning. Fairfax County police say Wossen Assaye, a prisoner in the custody of a private security guard, escaped from Inova Fairfax Hospital armed with the security officer’s gun at about 3 a.m. There was a struggle between the security officer and Assaye and one shot was fired, but no one was injured. Police are searching the area for Assaye, who is described as a black man wearing a hospital gown and no shoes. He is 6 feet tall and 170 pounds, police say. He is considered armed and dangerous and police say he is believed to be driving a stolen 2002 silver Toyota Camry with a Virginia license plate of XZP-8513. The vehicle has front-end damage. Fairfax County police issued a correction to the license plate number at 9 a.m. Fairfax County Police Spokesman Bud Walker says a woman was carjacked around 7 a.m. in the Annandale area, several miles from hospital. Walker said the woman who was carjacked identified Assaye as the carjacker and said he was alone and wearing a hospital gown. Police are asking for anyone who sees a man or car matching the description or notices anything suspicious to call them at 703-691-2131.

Good ol’ fashioned manhunt underway in Northern Virginia. So if you see a jabroni in a hospital gown and a gun, give the cops a dial. Pretty ballsy escape by this guy. Somehow got the security guard’s gun. Seems like something right out of a movie. Security guard nods off for a second, and boom! Guy is running out of the hospital in his gown, ass cheeks flapping in the wind.

Meanwhile, at the same time, there was a car chase going on in NoVa too. Quite a morning for local cops.

What if the high speed chase was to get everyone’s attention off the escaped prisoner? Would be some next level shit. Also in police chases, you kinda root for the guy escaping right? Obviously not to hurt anyone, but just to see if they can actually get away under pressure. Like if they can out-maneuver the cops and the helicopter GTA style, maybe they don’t deserve to get caught.
