Katy Perry Is So Desperate To Stop Getting Owned By Taylor Swift That She Changed Her Song Lyrics
ETOnline - Perry capped off her marathon YouTube livestreaming event, promoting the release of her new album Witness, with an outdoor concert for her fans on Monday, and she made some more steps towards reconciliation.
While singing her single “Swish Swish,” which many have speculated was written as a diss track aimed at the 1989 singer, Perry changed a key lyric, thus presenting what appeared to send a more supportive, positive message.
Instead of singing the line “Don’t you come for me,” in the first verse, Perry sang, “God bless you on your journey, oh baby girl.”
Oh Katy. Katy, Katy, Katy. Grow a spine. Grow some balls. Have some pride. This is so, so, sad. Just admitting Taylor owns your life by changing lyrics that were about her to some upbeat, faux-happiness nonsense. I feel like the Katy Perry vs Taylor Swift feud went way under the radar, and I figured out why- It’s because it was never even a feud to begin with. It was a one sided fight where Taylor Swift would wake up one morning, decide to stomp all over Katy Perry’s face, make a quick million dollars, and then go to sleep. Meanwhile Katy is getting bad haircuts, dying her hair, fake crying in TV interviews, talking about fucking John Mayer, and live streaming herself Big Brother style, craving attention that nobody wants to give her.
And so what does Taylor do the day Katy releases her new album? She stunted all over her face by putting her entire music library back onto streaming platforms like Spotify, completely taking all the attention from Katy and putting it on herself. I would imagine she cost Katy millions of dollars by doing that. All anyone could talk about was how Taylor was back after years of keeping it off. So for Katy, 3 days later, to try and do the “I wish her nothing but the best” routine is so, so sad. Taylor don’t currrrrrr about you at all, baby girl. You’re just tired of losing literally every single battle. Hilarious.
PS: LOL funny and even more sad.
