It's Insulting That Hooters Has To Change Their Uniforms In Order To Be "Family Friendly"

Yahoo - Family friendly isn’t exactly the first thing to come to mind when you think of Hooters.

But the company, which is opening more than 30 new outlets across Asia, plans to change that — with the help of a new image.

According to Neil Bailey, the president of Hooters Asia, the new stores in the region will have a “family restaurant experience.”

The term “Hooters Girl” has long been associated with skimpy tops and short skirts, but they might look a little different in Asia.

In the Jakarta outlet, for example, the company is working on a new uniform that will feature skorts (skirts with shorts underneath), higher necklines and thicker stockings.

This is downright insulting. Hooters is already a family friendly restaurant. Hooters isn’t the problem- parents who think their kids can’t see some T&A without turning into deviants are the problem. They shouldn’t have to change shit. People don’t go to Hooters for the food. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t necessarily hate their food. I think people give it a hard time, but I could fuck some of those wings up any time, any where. People go to Hooters because it’s a good time. You see some eye candy, you drink 8-15 beers, and you just enjoy yourself. It’s a happy environment. Bring your kids, who cares? Let’s start teaching kids that it’s ok to be a hot piece of ass and flaunt your shit proudly, not that women should have to cover up. It’s 2016, it’s about time we started thinking that way. Ain’t nothing wrong with a chick knowing she’s hot and making a ton in tips for it. That’s the American Dream and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
