Here come the Raiders. A young and upcoming team from the West Coast who narrowly got the best of the Ravens last year at the Coliseum. This year things should be different. The Ravens have a much improved secondary, Terrell Suggs is healthy, and this one is in our own barn. It’s tough for teams to travel 3 time zones and steal a win on the road. Nobody knows that better than the Raiders. They’re 1-16 in their last 17 east coast games. Need I say more?
There’s a lot of talk about the Raiders offense challenging this relatively untested Ravens defense. Which is fair, but I don’t think the Ravens can be beaten today if their offense shows up and plays 4 quarters of good football. We’ve seen them play well in stretches, but they haven’t been able to sustain it for more than a half. I think today we see their best effort, especially given that the Raiders defense is trash.
Ravens win 31-23
