Welp, never mind then. Thought we had dodged a bullet there, but apparently not. Won’t hurt too bad over the next 6 weeks considering the division is hardly a race, but they’ll miss his glove come October. Big picture, they’ll be fine though. You don’t open up an 8.5 game lead without being a far better ballclub than the competition. They’ve dealt without Wieters most the year, they dealt without Markakis during the race in 2012, and they’ll deal with this too. This just evens the score with the other contenders. Season is far from over. Birds will still do damage in October, believe me that.
