Up Until Yesterday You Could Buy A Counterfeit "Destroy Capitalism" Banksy Print At Walmart

Mega-corporate Walmart has been selling prints of the celebrated graffiti artist’s work for an everyday low price of $25 to a whopping $869 on its website, and mislabeling other artists’ work as Banksy’s in the process. Jo Brooks, Banksy’s publicist told LAist, “The Banksy canvases you showed me are counterfeit reproductions and we are currently dealing with Walmart about them.”

Full disclosure here. I’m posting this because I think for the first time in my life I have found something that is truly ironic. Like you know how whenever you say something is ironic there is always some well read dickhead who chimes in saying that’s not irony that’s more a satirical utterance, or a mere coincidence (say that whole thing in a real whiny annoying voice). Or the person who rips apart Alanis Morissette saying nothing in her song is irony forgetting the fact that it’s simply a fire jam and you should appreciate the fact that Alanis rocks instead of worrying about some stupid lyrics.  Well not this time you dick fuckers. I found Irony and it feels awesome. That anti-capitalist douchebag Banksy having his prints ripped off and sold at the single most capitalist store in the world. Irony at it’s finest. All you irony police can go suck and egg, today us dim-witted simpletons win. Feels good, feels real good.
