(Source) After being refused service at the Trump Towers 16th floor bar over the weekend, three suburban men allegedly turned on a water valve in a stairway in the ritzy hotel, causing $700,000 in damage, the Sun-Times is reporting. Carl Koenemann and Benjamin Nitch, both 25, and Daniel T. Maradei, 24, are all charged with one felony count of criminal damage to property, authorities said. The men had gone to the bar, where they were served one drink, Assistant State’s Attorney Erin Antonietti said at Koenemann and Nitch’s bond hearing Tuesday.

Afterward, they were denied additional drinks because they appeared intoxicated, Antonietti said. Koenemann and Nitch were then seen going into the fire exit stairwell, the prosecutor said. They allegedly turned on a water valve on the sixth floor that shoots 250 gallons of water per minute. As the water gushed for 10 minutes before engineers could shut the valve off, the men walked down the stairwell and out of the hotel, Antonietti said. Two elevators and some marble flooring were damaged, she said.

The pair was arrested Sunday night. Koenemann, of Des Plaines, allegedly told police that “Ben did it.” And Nitch, of Barrington, allegedly told police his friend was culpable. Nitch also told police he may have slipped in his drunken state and grabbed onto the valve to gain balance, Antonietti said. He later admitted he yanked open the valve because he was angry for not being served at the bar, she said. A third man, Daniel T. Maradei of the 4100 block of North Woodlake Drive in Hanover Park, was arrested Tuesday and charged, police said. He is expected to appear in bond court Wednesday. Koenemann, who Chicago Police say works in the corporate offices of Walgreens, and Nitch were released following a bond hearing Tuesday but must remain on electronic monitoring while they await trial. Neither could be reached for comment.

This is one of those crimes that I have no reservation saying I think is absolutely hilarious and awesome. Did anyone get hurt? Yeah some rich people maybe have to deal with water damage. Did anyone die? No. Well then who cares. Maybe next time Trump tower shouldn’t be such stuck up bitches. Guys are just trying to have a few beers after a big time USA win. You won’t let them? Well then fuck your couch/hotel. We’re flooding the whole damn thing.

I’m also saying this because I wouldn’t be surprised if 1 or all 3 of these guys are stoolies. Gotta have each other’s backs. This blog defends you guys, which in the grand scheme of things means absolutely nothing.

PS

Time for Ben to get some new friends. Jesus
