23 games played. 46 points available. The Blackhawks have taken 43 of them. The streak continues. Unbelievable. The first period last night was absolutely sublime. 4 goals in what seemed like 3 seconds. Brandon Saad coming into his own with a goal and two assists and Hossa, on the night we celebrate his 1,000th game, scoring what ended up being the Game Winner. And yeah the Hawks went into their defensive mode in the 3rd after outshooting the Wild 28-10 in the first 2 periods, coincidentally leading to 2 late Wild Goals, but that’s why we have Patrick Kane. Who basically said fuck this, and ended it with a snipe to the top shelf. 20-0-3, not too shabby.
Other Notes
-Hossa’s pre-game ceremony may have gone on just a little too long but I still thought it was cool. Especially when the entire team wore 81 Jerseys during Warmups, oh and Hossa’s wife, she was very nice as well.
-All of Brandon Saad’s potential and skills were on display in that first period. A goal where he just wouldn’t give up and two perfect passes. If Q ever lets Carcillo back on the first line I may have to murder someone.
-Kane’s Fuck You Face when he scores a goal is the best. So much anger. Like he was personally offended that the goalie would actually think he could stop a Patrick Kane shot, love it.
-Speaking of Kane. We need a Kane shirt. Lets get a little contest going. Break out the MS Paint and Photoshop. Send all your pictures to me and if we get enough entries I’ll do a Friday post with all of your demented ideas. If we choose your shirt design you obviously will get a free one.
-Last but certainly not Least, Shoot the Puck. Good Job Good Effort by my girlfriend Cheryl Scott. We were close. Although if you’ll see my interactions with her yesterday, Cheryl and I aren’t exactly communicating very well these days. In fact, judging by the fact that she deleted that second tweet, I may have gotten dumped.
(Yes I have RCN, I have a long standing feud with Comcast. I boycotted them right in there stupid fucking face. I would expect fellow men of principle to understand)
