Chicago Tribune – Former Chicago Bears wide receiver Sam Hurd faces four new federal drug charges, accusations coming in a superceding indictment filed Tuesday — the same day a plea deal with the government fell apart. Hurd faces two counts of commission of a felony offense while on release and two counts of attempt to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance, charges stemming from when he was taken into custody last month for violating conditions of his supervised release. While out on bond and living in San Antonio, Hurd attempted on June 6 to possess with intent to distribute between 50 kilograms and 100 kilograms of marijuana and at least 5 kilograms of cocaine.
Can somebody still count as your favorite athlete when they’ll absolutely never play sports ever again? If so then Sam Hurd officially tops my list. Guy shows all the grit, heart and determination of the greatest of champions. Only difference is most champions did it through sports and Hurd does it through pushing snowflake. Whatever, that’s pretty much irrelevant. Guy eats, sleeps and drinks cocaine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Heart of a drug dealing champion if there ever was one.
Do it Rudy!
