Source - You might wonder why rapper Lupe Fiasco would be invited to an inauguration party, given that he has publicly criticized President Obama in the past. When Fiasco took the stage Sunday in Washington at the Hamilton Live theater as part of the StartUp RockOn inauguration bash, he bashed Obama again. “Limbaugh is a racist, Glenn Beck is a racist,” he rapped. “Gaza Strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say (bleep). That’s why I ain’t vote for him, next one either.” Politico reports that tweets indicated Fiasco played one anti-war song for 30 minutes and was told to move on to the next song. When he refused, security escorted him off the stage.
Kind of a tactical error by the administration here. Probably should’ve done a quick background check on the 15 black people in the country that don’t like Obama to see if Lupe Fiasco was on the list before slotting him in. Or maybe just type “Lupe Fiasco; Obama” into Google and see if anything comes up like the fact that he’s outspoken about how he hates you and refused to vote for you. Just standard Inauguration party planning stuff to make sure that some rapper doesn’t drop a 30 minute anti-war song in the middle of your big night and get kicked off stage by security.
PS – Would’ve loved to been in the room when Lupe went heel. Probably had honkies crip-walking and twerking their dicks off with those “Limbaugh is a racist! Glenn Beck is a racist!” lines. Then Boom, “Gaza strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say shit!”. Instant mood killer. Power move and a half though.
