NY Post - A Hamptons couple so prominent that they live on a street bearing their family name kept an Indonesian worker trapped at their estate and forced her into a life of brutal hours and paltry pay, according to a federal lawsuit. Ni Ketut Sulastri, of Bali, is suing Rose and Lawrence Halsey of Water Mill for allegedly treating her as an indentured servant between 2005 and 2008. According to the suit, the Halseys hired Sulastri to work at their home business on Halsey Lane through an Indonesian intermediary who promised her $450 a month, 9-to-5 hours, room and board and permanent legal status. But Sulastri claims that she was soon working 15 hours every day, earning only $350 a month, living in a closet and being fed only leftovers and hot dogs. When she complained, the suit says, the Halseys informed her that “nothing is free in America.”
What kind of world are we living in? Is this lady seriously complaining about eating leftovers and hot dogs? Bitch that’s what I eat. And I don’t live in one of the richest neighborhoods in the country rent free making $450 a month. These people literally just made you the wealthiest person in Indonesian history and you drop a law suit on their ass. It’s ridiculous. I like how she’s learning the American way and suing everything in sight but you gotta slow your role babe. Show a little appreciation to the people that made you ya know? Just eat the ballpark franks, sleep in your closet and shut your mouth.
PS – How bad is this lady going to get slaughtered when she actually shows up in court and a team of lawyers comes in to represent these rich motherfuckers? She’ll be on the first Amistad back to Asia so fast it’ll make her head spin.
