CBS News - The tracksuits and bags of Egypt’s Olympic team are emblazoned with the familiar Nike and Adidas logos, and the country’s committee chairman says that’s good enough – even though they’re fakes. ”We signed with a Chinese distributor in light of Egypt’s economic situation,” Gen. Mahmoud Ahmed Ali told The Associated Press in a telephone interview Wednesday. Ali said the real thing was just too expensive, and the state of Egypt’s battered finances led him to opt for the counterfeit gear, which he said was “sufficient.”
Hahaha, what a bunch of poors. See this is why you never hold a revolution against yourself. One second you’re all hyped up about who’s right and who’s wrong between two groups of literally the same exact people and the next thing you know you’re the laughing stock of the Olympic games and all your athlete’s are walking around with knock-off rags because you’re too broke to afford regular, expensive shit like everybody else. Not an enviable position to be in Egypt. Next time you wanna fight either band together to kick some other country square in the balls or you pick out a bunch of losers like we did with the English and you kick em out. You make moves like that and you won’t have to walk around the Olympic village like you just went shopping at a fucking flea market.
