Source - The NBA announced early Tuesday a “comprehensive global preseason schedule” that involves the Chicago Bulls playing the first-ever game in Brazil. The Bulls will face the Washington Wizards at Rio de Janeiro’s HSBC Arena on Oct. 12. Other games feature the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul in Turkey on Oct. 5; the Philadelphia 76ers vs. Uxue Bilbao Basket in Spain on Oct. 6; Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Philadelphia 76ers in Manchester, England on Oct. 8; Houston Rockets vs. Indiana Pacers in Manila, Philippines on Oct. 10; Houston Rockets vs. Indiana Pacers in Taipei, Taiwan on Oct. 13; and the Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers on Oct. 15 in Beijing, China and on Oct. 18 in Shanghai, China.
The Wizards? Seriously? The fucking Wizards? That’s who the Bulls are playing in Rio? Brazilians know they changed their name from the Bullets and they suck right? Like if you were to pick a team to travel to another part of the world to convince the people there that basketball is a terrible, you pick Washington 100 times out of 100. We couldn’t get a nice marque exhibition with Miami or Boston or something? That sucks. I mean I guess it’s not as bad as OKC playing Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul. Or Philly playing Uxue Bilbao Basket. Those will be some fucking barnburners. Nobody brings the noise like Uxue Bilbao Basket. Still, would’ve been nice to see the NBA spread the game in Rio with a little more help than a perennial contender going up against Bradley Beal and John Wall, who I’m pretty sure is dead at this point.
In a related note, Jo is going to get at least 15 1/2 women pregnant during that trip.
