(Source) Lake Shore Drive completely reopened around 4:20 a.m. this morning, according to Chicago police, hours after a standoff lasting more than 8 hours closed lanes in both directions. Police late Sunday took into custody a Chicago-area man wanted in connection with his wife’s killing in Georgia after police pursued his car from south suburban Harvey to North Lake Shore Drive, where the car crashed and a standoff paralyzed the busy roadway. The Henry County, Ga., sheriff’s Office had contacted Harvey police about the location of a vehicle wanted in connection with a murder and police located the car about 12:24 p.m., but the car fled and was pursued to near Fullerton Avenue and Lake Shore Drive, according to a statement from Harvey.

Georgia authorities contacted Harvey police about Joseph Andrew Felton Jr., 43, who is wanted in a murder warrant in connection with the slaying of his wife, Sheray Latriest Felton, who was found dead in her home in Hampton, Ga., on Saturday, according to Henry County police. Felton’s sister told the Tribune that she has spoken to Felton during the standoff and he told her he was in the car.

Well this just makes it even worse no? The fact that this wonky eyed bastard was able to cripple Lake Shore Drive for like 15 hours yesterday? I mean I don’t want to tell the CPD how to do their job, those guys are some tough motherfuckers that deal with a lot of bullshit, but isn’t this like approaching a hammer head shark from head on? Can’t you just walk up on Joseph Felton’s left side and he’ll never see you coming? Am I simplifying this? Because I don’t think I am. Just an awful look to have LSD be taken hostage by a one eyed man. Brutal outcome.

PS

I don’t know about everyone else but when I see people with lazy eyes I never look them in the face. I just can’t do it. I always end up staring at their feet and then making it infinitely more awkward for everyone involved.
