KFC Radio - The Worst Gift Anyone Can Ever Give You Is A Book

So this was a question on this week’s episode. Worst gift you have ever received or given. It’s a book, straight up. Close second is some piece of clothing you didn’t ask for but the clear winner is a book. If you give someone a book you’re a fucking asshole. Now I’m not saying don’t read, I read books (sometimes), but someone else telling me what I should and shouldn’t read ruins it. Like here’s your present, it’s words I’m going to make you read whether you like it or not. That’s not a gift, that’s a job. We’re not in elemntary school anymore. Act like an adult. You give cash or don’t give anything at all. Feelings and sentimental gifts are overrated. Cash is King.

Also, as an aside, the actual act of receiving a book is so fucking crushing. You see a wrapped present, your mind starts to think of all the cool things it could be, then you touch it and realize it’s just a heavy ass book. Such an incredible letdown.
