Jermon Bushrod, Yes Please

(CBS) — The Chicago Bears have signed two-time Pro Bowl tackle Jermon Bushrod to a five-year contract, according to a report in the Chicago Tribune.

The contract is reportedly worth $35.965 million over five years with $17.715 guaranteed.

Bushrod, 28, spent his first six seasons with the Saints, starting in 62 gamesover his last four seasons. Bushrod has started all in 16 games in each of the last three seasons at left tackle.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound former fourth-round draft pick was voted to the Pro Bowl in 2011 and 2012.

You mean a left tackle that can actually block for our quarterback? Get the fuck out. And nothing against J-Webb personally, but we can all agree he was NOT a starting Left Tackle in the NFL. So Jermon Bushrod is a Fantastic signing. The two biggest problems we had last year were Offensive Line and Tight End and Phil Emery addressed both within 2 hours of Free Agency. And obviously you don’t win Super Bowls in March and April but you can sure as shit get better and that’s what we just did. Now cue the motherfucking Music.
