Tree Cutting Tip- When The Tree Starts To Fall Don't Run Directly Into It's Path

First of all, thanks to whoever recorded this for doing so with a cup holder.  Crystal clear video.  Great stuff.  Second, I don’t know if that dude is dead or not but there’s a good chance he is.  Darwinism at work.  It’s why we human beings are the most dominant force this planet has ever seen.  It’s why we stay at the top of the food chain.  We constantly have the smartest people thriving and surviving.  Keep up or fall by the way side.  In that 10 second clip you can see the smarter of the species surviving and the dumber getting crushed by a GIANT tree.  What do you do when a tree starts to fall in the wrong direction?  That was the question facing each of these people the instant they saw something wasn’t quite right.  All of them but one chose the correct option.  You run as far away from the direction the tree is falling as you can.  That gives you the greatest chance for survival.  Simple, right?  Maybe for most of us.  But something fired off in that one dude’s brain that said “Okay, everybody else in running that direction.  What a bunch of IDIOTS.  I’m gonna head this way towards the path of where the tree is probably going to land and be the only one left.” and splat.  And the species marches on.  Science.

PS- Or maybe he was trying to be the hero and wanted to catch the tree.  Hard to rule anything out.
