GoFundMe – Chad Duncan’s car got absolutely wrecked by a bunch of jamokes who took a celebration and turned it into their own idiotic demolition derby. The Boston Globe reports that Chad is going to be out about $2500 bucks in insurance and new lease fees.
That is stupid. Boston’s better than that. Especially after this year, no one who truly loves the city of Boston should ever engage in willful wanton destruction. Let’s band together and help Chad pay for what these idiots did. He shouldn’t have to.
Just updating with some details – Chad is a stranger to me; I just felt angered by the actions of these destructive people and wanted to do something to help. I’ll be meeting with him soon and I’m currently working with GoFundMe to ensure that the money gets to him as quickly and efficiently as possible. The remainder will be going to the One Fund
There were a bunch of sites trying to trash Boston for the “riots” after game 6. In reality this was the only bad thing that happened the entire night and would you look at that, we already fixed it. Pretty much like the car never got flipped at all. This guy Chad has a good story and everything is back to normal. Actually, when you think about it, he’s better off after his car got flipped. Now he’s a bit of a local celebrity, plus there’s a chunk of change going to the One Fund. So flipping that car was a really good thing. We should all be glad that those people committed this act of vandalism. It was literally a good deed that provided a charitable payout.
Moral of the story – anytime you wanna do something good for someone, flip a car.
