TMZ – Rapper Jim Jones is figuring out how to deal with Uncle Sam next month, and he’s considering deducting expenses on his income tax for making it rain. Well guess what, in theory he might have a fighting chance of winning. Jones is not alone. Bizzy Bone tells TMZ, “I’m giving charity to females who need their light bills paid. So, of course, that’s a write-off. You write off your kids, don’t you?” The Game tells TMZ … making it rain “is good for business and promotion that comes with the lifestyle of a rapper. They bump our music in a strip club, so me giving the girls a little bit of change to shake their ass — that comes with the business. Everybody wins.” Daz Dillinger tells us, “Hell yeah. I’m going to see about getting my taxes fixed as soon as possible.” And Lil’ Flip tells TMZ he’s actually done it … deducted making-it-rain expenses from his taxes.
This is the best news I’ve heard all week. Rappers are throwing thousands and thousands of dollars at sex workers every night and writing it off on their taxes because it’s work related. Good for them and just as good for me. People like Jim Jones, The Game, myself… we’re all in the entertainment industry. We use words to help the masses get through the day. We have images and appearances to keep up. So by simple logic that means that we have the same tax rules. If they can write off strip club money because they’re rappers, then I should be able to write off the following because I’m a blogger:
- My couch
- Brazzers password
- Hand lotion
- Paper towels
- My parent’s disappointment
- Transportation costs from my apartment to the corner store 30 ft away
- Drugs to combat my deteriorating social skills and ability to interact with humans face to face
Just like a rapper needs to make it rain to keep up their bad boy image, I need these things to keep up my blogger image. Take that Uncle Sam! Write-offs all up in your eyeball!
PS – I’m 24 years old and legitimately have no idea how taxes work.
