MIDDLEBORO — A 6-year-old boy tired of playing Legos at his after-school day care forged a note that led his school to send him home instead. Now, his mother is using Facebook to blast the School Department for its handling of the incident, and school officials have changed school policy. Amie Nay, the mother said her 6-year-old son in December wrote the note in fluorescent yellow marker on finger-paint paper. In a childish scrawl, with words misspelled, the boy, Gannon, wrote: “Dery (Dear) Mrs Trottyry (Trottier): Gannon is not going to the program.” “My son was missing, and I had no idea where he was,” Nay said. In the end, Gannon was found safe with an elderly neighbor and was eating a snack. He confessed to the forgery with the excuse he was sick of the day care’s Legos and wanted to go home and play his Wii, his mother said. Since the incident, the school district’s principals have rewritten the dismissal policy.
I’m curious what the new dismissal policy for the school is going to say? Don’t accept notes written in yellow highlighter from 6 year olds that look like they were written by 2 year olds? I mean is this not the classic school administrator reaction or what? Oops we fucked up so we better rewrite our policy. Hey assholes it doesn’t matter what you’re fucking policy says. If you have morons working for you than you have morons working for you. Like this kid didn’t outsmart you. He didn’t beat the system. You handed him the fucking game on a silver platter.
PS – How is Leggos still in business?
