I Get A Kick Out Of This Guy Who Lynched An Empty Chair As An Anti-Obama Statement

MSN – Austin, Texas, resident Bud Johnson is not a fan of President Obama, but his way of expressing his opinion has many in his neighborhood concerned about a racist message. Johnson hung an empty folding chair from a tree in his yard using several feet of rope, evoking the lynching of black people. Blog editor Katherine Haenschen, who was tipped off about the display, expressed concern to Johnson. He reportedly replied, “I don’t really give a damn whether it disturbs you or not. You can take [your concerns] and go straight to hell and take Obama with you.” Johnson has since added an American flag to the hanging chair.

You have to respect people like Bud Johnson, right? I mean yeah he’s a miserable racist who probably jerks off to the opening scene of A Time to Kill, but he’s not fake. He doesn’t pretend to be someone he’s not. If he wants to lynch a chair in his front yard he’s going to do it. Don’t like it? You can go to hell and take that colored boy who just really, really wants to give everyone healthcare with you! People like Bud are the foundation of what this great country is founded on: a love of freedom of speech and a hatred of anyone who isn’t a white male. Can’t knock a purist.

PS – was Clint Eastwood’s insane rambling to a chair sneaky brilliant? Like did he understand that people could do whatever they wanted with empty chairs now and just pretend it’s Obama without getting in trouble for directly threatening the president because it’s just a chair? I’m not so sure I’m ruling that out.

@BillyBaroo Read the latest issue of Time. It's a little known fact that the government, in one form or another, subsidizes just about every aspect of our lives. Whether it be by way of direct funding from tax payer dollars, or through tax breaks (which are just another form of the government taking it upon itself to cover the difference), just about every aspect of your life is subsidized. The issue isn't a partisan one, it's a major fucking problem right across the board. Pretty scary stuff.

Kind of funny because "to hang someone/something in effigy" has been one of the oldest forms of political protest to man kind. You still see it happening in non-political representations during tailgates and pep-rallies. But now because it show's Obama and not Bush or another past president it is not deemed automatically racist.p.s. it totally could be of racist intent, but you can not automatically assume.

Ronny Reagan was handed Carter's disaster and had us entering our most prosperous years as a nation before the end of his first term. Cut taxes across the board, cut the corporate tax which is the highest in the developed world, and cut the size of the government. That is how you fix a recession.

@28ontheway Just a couple quick ones directly from his flagship policy, among others: 1) Passed Obama care via fiat after it did not pass through congress -> Direct violation of limitation of powers as laid out by the Consitution 2) Forced Americans to buy healthcare at penalty at a tax, that was supposedly not a tax until the Supreme Court ruled that the Government can impose the law only if it is a tax, at which point Obama said it's a tax -> Americans no longer have the right to choose to have healthcare AKA loss of liberty.Also, Way to google www.thinkprogress.org (Liberal propaganda) and just mindlessly quote the article about "10 things republicans don't want you to know about Reagan" you fucking idiot.

@ herrm i nation....you forgot to mention the debt tho buddy. Yea GDP increased but so did the debt by 18.4%. Your also factoring in 8 years of Reagan and only 4 of Obama. Reagan also increased the size of gov't by hiring more federal workers, raised taxes 11 times and was at one point a Hollywood actor. The GOP of today would hate that guy. Repubs need to stop acting like Reagan invented American success...they guy would be a democrat today. Obama today is less liberal than Reagan back than...thems the facts.
