DM - A trio of con men tricked victims into paying £6,500 to make £12million ‘fall from the sky’. The one Asian and two African nationals who ran the scam in Dubai were arrested following a police sting operation on Sunday. The Anti-Economic Crimes Unit made the move following a tip-off that an Asian suspect was searching for a person who could be duped into believing the outrageous claim. An undercover police agent made contact with the Asian suspect who told the officer he needed to find someone who could put up the £6,500 sum upfront. Undercover officers lying in wait then raided the property and arrested the three suspects. When they later searched the flat they found tools that had been used for witchcraft and sorcery to deceive victims. The items included a yellow-coloured sheet containing photographs, paper written in blood, three chicken feathers, scissors, stones and a small bottle containing a yellow substance

Ten thousand to get 18 million rained down on you? I’m no math whiz but that’s like what… 1800000000000000000000000% return on your investment?  I mean are people seriously giving these people a hard time?  Yeah you ended up getting tricked and defrauded.  But anyone who has ever picked up an economics book in their life knows when you get a chance to turn 10K into 18mil you literally have to do it.  Plus it’s not like they just flushed it down the toilet on some hodgepodge investment opportunity something. These guys were legit. Yellow sheets and bloody paper and chicken feathers and stones and shit. A bottle of piss even. Kramer said witchcraft was a hot buy on Mad Money last night. Yeah, sorcerers are a total curveball but you still gotta take your hacks. Sometimes they get the potion right and money rains like it’s the main stage at Mods Venus, other times they jet off with your 10 grand and help a Nigerian collect his investment. No matter what, you don’t want to be the guy who was scared to scoop up a bunch of Google when it was low.
