CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — An Etters man faces charges after driving a stolen car to state police barracks in Cumberland County. At 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 20, Ty Eugene Delp Jr., 31, walked into the lobby of the station in South Middleton Township and identified himself, state police said. He told the dispatcher that he had no license, was driving a stolen vehicle and was drunk, troopers said. State police said they confirmed Delp’s claims and arrested him on DUI and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle charges.
I don’t think there’s a person in the world who can’t totally sympathize with this guy. We have truly all been there. The most stressful moments of my life is the window between waking up on Saturday morning and my first Bloody Mary. Thankfully I’m convinced a Bloody Mary can cure anything from a severe anxiety attack to cancer, but that doesn’t make the first moment you look at your cellphone in the daylight any easier. Always terrified to see what you said to who. Sure you can say driving to the police station drunk in a stolen car and telling the cops you’re drunk and driving a stolen car is a stupid move. Ridicule Ty Eugene Delp Jr if you want. But he who is without sin cast the first stone. Ty will probably go to jail for a small stint. Remember that time you texted your ex at 3 AM that you miss her and love her? What if you got back together because of that? All of a sudden a year or two upstate is looking pretty reasonable.
