Remy Announces He'll Be Returing To The Booth For 2014 And A Little Part Of Me Is Sad About That

Is anyone else just a little sad about this? Don’t get me wrong, I love Remy. All in all, I think Boston has the best local broadcasters of any market in the country. Jack and Andy, Remy and Orsillo, Gorman and Tommy… they’re all great. The best in their respective business, by my count. But a part of me is going to miss Eck calling the games. I can’t even think about the guy without laughing. He brought the fire night in and night out. Even sitting in the booth way up top, he still talked like was in the bullpen and might get the call any second. Again, I love Remy. It would be a damn shame for him to go out the way he did, and have his son being a murderer as a part of his legacy and what ended his career. But I can’t help but miss Eck already.
