Question of the Day – Would The Earth Have Stopped Spinning If Belichick Caused An Inadvertent Whistle Instead of Rex?
As the Patriots continue to dominate the NFL I’ve noticed a disturbing trend developing in America. It’s basically reverse trolling. The rest of the country is absolutely obsessed with the Patriots and our success. They study our every move. They watch everything we say. They hate us cause they ain’t us. And since they can’t beat us on the field they look for any opportunity to talk shit or poke the bear. I mean just look at my twitter feed during a Pats game. All these haters coming out of the clouds taking shots at the crown. It’s delicious. Then if Pats fans say anything they freak out and say we have a made up persecution complex.
They try to make it seem like Deflategate never happened. Like we weren’t the victim of a witch hunt. Like the Pats haven’t lost draft picks for literally no reason before. Yet when headsets malfunction in Foxboro they are the first ones to scream that it’s Belichick up to his usual tricks
Last night was the perfect example. Rex Ryan sprinting down the sideline causing the ref to blow an inadvertent whistle. Listen I’m not saying Roger Goodell was behind this, but I am saying if the Bill Belichick did this there would be a federal investigation into it. It would be Deflategate 3.0. But since it’s good old Rex nobody cares. Same thing with Atlanta piping in crowd noise, the Colts doctoring injury reports, and every other example of cheating that nobody cares about unless it’s us.
Again same thing with Sportscenter tweeting out the pictures of video cameras during the game. I’ve actually seen some people try to act like this had nothing to do with the Patriots. That this was just an innocent tweet by Sportscenter. Of course this was a shot at New England. Anybody who says otherwise is either a troll or a moron.
Listen I love life at the top. I love being king of the mountain. I love being the team that everybody hates. I love opposing fans obsessing over our every move. I love being the team that comes into your city and rips your guts out and shoves them down your eyeballs. This is more of a public service announcement to all the trolls out there who have basically given up trying to beat us and instead just try to make Pats fans look like lunatics and crybabies. We all know what you’re doing and we don’t care. The more you complain about us and write about us the stronger we get and the better the champagne will taste in SF.
