Pretty awesome. Just watched “Good Will Hunting” and the park bench scene really is incredible. Almost five minutes straight and Williams just crushes it. I readily admit that sometimes I get a little too worked up over celebrity deaths, as I’ve never met them (hello, RIP Paul Walker.) But you never realize how many memories you “shared” with someone like that until they’re gone. When I was a kid I straight up burned through my Mrs. Doubtfire VHS. In high school all we did was quote “Good Will Hunting” to each other. We quoted it so much that when Gordon Wood came to our school for an assembly my buddy asked him if he felt that he drastically underestimated the impact of social distinctions predicated upon wealth, especially inherited wealth. “Dead Poets Society” was watched in at least one rainy day English class every year and I truly wished “Jumanji” was a real board game. Hell, even “Patch Adams” had be wanting to be a doctor for about a month (I went into blogging instead, basically the same thing. You’re welcome for keeping you healthy with intermittent laughter). What I’m saying is that I get people who find it weird how celebrities are mourned with such passion, but you spend a lot more time with these celebrities and they have a much greater impact on your life than you think. That is their job, after all. To make us feel like we’re their friends, and that’s why the greats are mourned.
