Incredibly Regrettable Tweet From Debbie Wasserman Schultz

Eeeeeek. I cringed just reading that yesterday. Awkward city. Like when you’re watching a normal movie with your parents and some unexpected, loud sex scene comes on. Eeeeeek.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz was of course forced to resign and step down from running the Democratic Convention over the weekend. The DNC email leaks made it clear she privately favorited Hillary and shit on Bernie. A bold move to send such a snobby, cocky tweet to your arch-nemesis when you’ve been immorally picking sides in your own nomination for a year — even more cocky when you’re a Democrat and you’ve been doing it on email. Have to feel like any Democrat with an imperfect email record needs to be walking on public eggshells right now. Can’t be sending out ruthless tweets. Can’t be taking anything for granted. If your name has a (D) before it and you’ve emailed before, you’re on threat level midnight indefinitely. Might even wanna go back and make sure you never tweeted anything negative about Russia.

Awesome. Pretty sure this guy’s name wasn’t “DNC Leak” last week and his implication with “you’re going to regret this tweet next week” was probably not about the email leak — was just about RNC vs DNC in general — but still, works great and the dude’s gotten 2K retweets. Good on him.

Basically everything worked out for everyone here except Debbie. That’s what happens when you get cocky (as an ethically compromised political leader).
