Horrific Circus Acrobats Crash In Providence Today

(CNN) — Nine Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus performers were among 11 people injured Sunday in Providence, Rhode Island, after an apparatus used in their act failed, circus spokesman Stephen Payne said. Eight performers fell when the hair-hang apparatus — which holds performers by their hair — failed, Payne added. Another performer was injured on the ground, he said. The performers were among 11 people hospitalized with injuries related to the accident, Rhode Island Hospital spokeswoman Jill Reuter told CNN. One of those people was listed in critical condition, Reuter said.

At first I thought there was only 1 performer hanging from that thing.  I thought the rest was lights. Nope there were 10 of them.  It was a human chandelier.  Yikes.  As a side note name something more traumatic for a kid than being at the circus and having everybody crash from to the floor like this and then chaos ensues?  You can’t.  Only think that would have made this scarier would have been if the clowns locked the exits and wouldn’t let anybody leave.
