Deflategate Continues To Unravel - Colts GM Bobby Grigson Says He Notified The NFL About Deflated Balls Before the Game Which Directly Contradicts What The NFL Has Been Saying

PFT – And the controversy known as #DeflateGate keeps getting stranger and stranger. After previously declining to talk about the situation, Colts G.M. Ryan Grigson told reporters on Thursday that the Colts had indeed alerted the NFL to concerns about underinflated footballs before the AFC title game against the Patriots. “Listen, you know, earlier in that week, prior to the AFC Championship Game, we notified the league about our concerns,”. “We went into the game, we had some issues, but we’re going to do what we can, and that’s participate with the league in the investigation and wait until the [Ted] Wells Report comes out. We really have no other recourse but to wait until that investigation comes about. . . . “I’m not going to get into specifics. That report should have that information for everybody, but just do my job and here we are. Hopefully everything can come out, and everybody will be able to have a clear look at the situation. . . . “We had concerns, just like any General Manager would do, wants his team to play on a level playing field, and we took the proper steps to try to ensure that. It’s up to the league to make sure that happens. Again, if rules were broken, we’ll see. If not, that’s what the investigation is for. We’re just doing our jobs and trying to ensure we give our teams the best chance to win on a level playing field.” Grigson’s comments conflict with the NFL’s position that the issue first arose during the game, not before it. Grigson’s comments also undermine the NFL’s efforts to conclusively prove deflation; if the league knew the Colts had concerns about underinflated footballs before the AFC title game, why didn’t the game officials log the PSI of all Patriots and Colts footballs before the game started? They didn’t, which makes sense if the issue didn’t come up before the game. It makes no sense if the issue came up before the game.
Right now Bobby Grigson, Roger Goodell, John Harbaugh, Mike Kensil and Bob Kravitz are all on a deserted island just eyeing each other trying to figure out who is going to eat who first. Who is going to be the first to spill their guts and confirm that everything I’ve been saying about Deflategate was right the entire time. That it was one giant conspiracy designed to humiliate the Patriots and distract us before the Superbowl. That the only people who did anything wrong here were the very people levying the accusations.
Not surprisingly it looks like Bobby Grigson (the shadiest looking cat on the planet) is gonna be the first one to break. He just comes out of the blue and directly contradicts the NFL’s version of events with Deflategate. He confirms that the Colts did in fact complain before the game started after being tipped off by Baltimore. This off course begs the question why did the NFL wait to say anything until half time. Why not warm the Pats beforehand if they thought we were really gaining a competitive advantage? Why did the NFL lie about it? Why are there so many different stories on how Deflategate started?
Why you ask Dave? Isn’t it obvious. As each day passes it becomes more clear that somebody is going to go down and go down hard for this.. That’s why everybody involved is scrambling to make sure it’s not them. Everybody is trying to save themselves. That’s why we have conflicting reports everyday. That’s why guys are going on the record now. The whole plan is unraveling and everybody knows it. I just picture Belichick looking into a giant cloudy crystal ball that looks like a Lombardi Trophy maniacally laughing as he watches the world burn below him.
PS – As far as the question as to why didn’t the refs log the PSI’s before the game if they were warned about it and knew they were going to run this sting? I already answered this weeks ago. The refs weren’t in on it. When you’re gonna rob a bank or commit any crime you don’t tell non essential people about the heist. That’s how you get busted. That’s how the cops find out. Goodell figured that the refs already logged PSI’s every game per the letter of the law. Therefore there was no need to mention anything to them and raise suspicions.
