BOSTON (CBS) – Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez will be charged in connection with the shooting death of a 27-year-old Dorchester man, a law enforcement source told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 on Friday. According to that source, an arrest warrant has been issued on a charge of obstruction of justice.
Well so much for that whole “being cooperative” thing. I guess the takeaway from this is the cops frown upon you handing over smashed cellphones and wrecking the hard drive on your home security system. And apparently the Pats aren’t keen on it either, since they booted Hernandez’ ass of the stadium yesterday. A word to the wise for anyone interested in riddling “an associate” with bullets: You’ve got to go in with a gameplan. It’s not the kind of thing you can just halfass. You’d think after all these years in Foxboro, Hernandez would’ve learned a thing or two about being prepared. At the very least, you’d think he’d have learned the proper way to destroy video evidence. @JerryThornton1
