Bo The Golden Retreiver Rescues his Brother Guinness the St. Bernard When He Falls Through The Ice

FRAMINGHAM (CBS) Framingham firefighters were called to their first ice rescue of the season on Tuesday. A dog fell through the thin ice on the Sudbury River. Valerie Jewell said her St. Bernard, Guinness, and Golden Retriever, Bo, always stay in the yard. But, a squirrel was too tempting and the pair went after it. Jewell said on the way back to the house, Guinness fell into the water. Bo stayed next to him, but on the ice, and barked. “Bo was dedicated. He would not leave his side out there,” said Jewell.

I would have loved to be a fly in the wall for this conversation between Bo and Guiness.

Guinness: Whooopseee! Hey Bo I just fell into the water! God dang it.

Bo: Aww shit …you knucklehead. Ok hold on…hold on. MAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You better get out here! Guinness Fell In the Lake AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guiness: I swear it was frozen through. I swear it was frozen through.

Bo: Dude you’re a freaking St. Bernard. You’re not a poodle. How many times do we have to go over this. It doesn’t matter if you walk on your tippy toes. MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! GET OUT HERE!!!!!!! GUINNESS IS IN THE LAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guinness: This is so embarrassing. Bo please don’t tell anybody.

Bo: MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

PS – If this was a cat this would have all been part of the master plan.  The cat would have planted the squirel and then watched with delight as his brother froze to death and then slowly sauntered back into the house to eat his brothers dinner all while claiming he didn’t know what happened to him.
