The Packers Signed Speeding Bullet Tavon Austin To Return Kicks - Bring On The Electric Factory

Finally the Packers are surrounding Aaron Rodgers with some first round talent! First Marcedes Lewis AND now Tavon? Packers GM Mike Gutekunst is feeling himself a little. Oh you don't think he'd ever help 12 out? Well how about this!

The idea of Tavon Austin has long been better than actually having him do things for your team. I don't really understand how he never became a superstar in the NFL if I can be frank with you. Based off what he did at West Virginia he should be have been Tyreek Hill before Tyreek Hill became a thing. Before signing with Green Bay this dude was a 29 year old free agent. How the hell did we get here?

All jokes and wild imagination aside, this is actually a pretty solid pickup for the Pack. With punt returner/jet motion specialist Tyler Ervin still sidelined with a wrist injury they desperately need a dude to step in and fill the role. Darrius Shepherd gave it his best shot, but that dude just isn't an NFL player. He was lost returning kicks over the last few weeks. Tavon Austin slides right in to handle kick returns and maybe make a play or two on offense here and there. He's an instant upgrade at the position and he's just awesome to watch in general in the open field. Who knows, maybe Rodgers just has him run a 9 route every play? Certainly a strategy I would very much endorse. Let's cook.
